I am using Netscape V7.0 and am very pleased with it. It's as fast as lightning. Still keeping a copy of Communicatoe V4.79
just in case ??? Zone Alarm Pro just came out with their latest
Version which is listed in the subject. In setting it up , I notice that they do not, at this time support Privacy settings for Netscape V7.0 on Windows Me and Windows 98. Thick controls the
ability of the Firewall to control Popups, Banners, cookies. etc.
My question is this. Has anyone heard any future plans for Zone
Alarm to Support Netscape V7.0 in this area. It's useless for me to send them a message because the will not answer.
I downloaded qnd installed the fix that was used in N.S V6.0
to control the popups but ran into so much trouble I had to
uninstall v7.0 and reinstall it to get back into business. If anyone has inside info, please clue me in.
I have only seen two quirks in V 7.0 that are annoying at the worse. 1. I run 600X800 resolution and use Excite as my home page. My links are on the right side of the page and when I click on a link, since the page is a bit wider that the screen, the screen moves slightly to the lert when I click on a link. 2. In Mail, in the set up filters, there is a log kept for mail
which is filtered out. No provisions to click on" Read Log" as there was in Comm V 4.xxxxx. I can get to iy by reading th file on th HD with Notepad.

ZoneAlarm has never supported Netscape 6/7 insofar as ZoneAlarm's Privacy Settings are concerned. I just leave them turned off. I use ZoneAlarm for what it does best, firewall protection.
Both Netscape 7.01 and Mozilla 1.2.1 have their own cookie controls and pop-up ad blocking, so this almost negates the need for ZoneAlarm's help in this area. Download Netscape 7.01 to get pop-up ad control. Uninstall 7.00 and then install 7.01. You will not lose any E-mail or bookmarks. Netscape 7.00 (which did not have any ad blocking) works well with Prefbar which gives you that ad control back.
Mozilla 1.2.1 does have a filter log that can be read. I do not believe that Netscape 7 has that feature yet.
(Sorry about using IE and posting so quickly. I'm in a bit of a hurry. I'll check back later.)
