Hey. I have a digital video camera that i would like to use as webcam, through USB, as i do not want to spend a bunch of money on wweb cam because i will not use it very often. What software do i need to do this?
i am running Windows ME, 256 MB ram, 30 GB hdd, 1000MHz Athlon pro

check the manual of your digital camera.

Ok i will do that when i get home. When I am home and have looked, i will let you know, but if it helps any, my camera did not come with video software.

I skimmed it, and unless i misread, i do not see nanything about the software. Does anyone know of a free trial run or something i can download? like a video webcam thing? its for a jvc video camera, if that helps
help/suggestions/comments please?

Does your digital camera support video? or able to take shots from computer (controlled by computer when connected).
Check if there's any mention about that. Third party software won't work if the digital camera can't have such feature.

Hey all. I checked my manual. I can't find anything. Is there such thing is an adapter to go from RCA (video,(yellow) left and right audio (red and white) to convert to USB? If so, i can do it that way, but does anyone have some sugestions for some programs i could try to see if it works??

anyone have any suggestions or help?! does anyone know if that adapter idea will work? if not, ndoes anyone know anything about webcams? i don't know much about them. How well does a cheap one work?
