This may seem discrimative but, no offense, I don't like how gay rights are permitted, I don't like the sound of anyone being gay, It really disturbs me, I want other peoples input so that i know I am Not alone on this topic.

All citizens should have equal rights. I don't see any problems allowing gay couples getting married, except churches won't be happy.
If you personally don't like gays, that's fine, you don't have to talk to non-heterosexually identified people.

Replace the word "gay" in your post with "black". If you still feel comfortable, then you're a bigot. If you don't feel comfortable, then you're a homophobe.
Now you've been categorised, I hope you can carve a niche in life that you feel comfortable with.

I agree, just because people choose to be homosexual does not mean that they should be treated with less respect that someone who is heterosexual.

Maybe people should be *shock horror* treated equally?
While this isn't the case gay rights are all about achieving equality. 'Pride' is all about being able to express yourself and evolved out of an annual rights march. As far as Pride goes it's now evolved from a fight for rights to a harmless celebration of what has been achieved so far. Almost all minority groups have had to fight for some sort recognition.
Respect is something that, by definition, should be earned rather than given. To me someone who has gone against family and peer pressure to come out as gay has already (in many cases) had to fight at least one psychological war and deserves respect for that.

yo dustin, i am with ya all the way. blacks are cool, but being gay is just wrong ( no offence to gay people) its disgusting, and i think it should be totally banned.

Change gay to 'left handed people' after all they're 1/10 like gay people and if it were banned they could be forced to write with their right hands and then you see how silly homophobia is. Are people born left handed or are they nurtured into being so? Being left handed is obviously disgusting and should be banned.
I ask you do you know if any of your friends are gay? Are you sure? If someone was a friend of yours and was gay do you think he would want you to know if he thinks it would turn you against him? Do you realise that a lot of gay men are married with children to cover up? Do you think the same about gay women?

Awfully jumpy aren't you? I was comparing left handed and gay on the grounds that it is estimated that 1/10 of the population is left handed and 1/10 of the population is gay. So if you were to disriminate against one set of people who are the way they are because they are born that way then you are saying that it would be fair to discriminate against other groups of a similar minority.

Oh my goodness, what a web we have decided to weave! 
First of all, I am heterosexual.
It makes no difference to me what sex people are. I haven't anything to say against most gay men. In fact, I really enjoy speaking to them. I find most of them are very kind and polite.
I only know one gay gal, she is very nice and is married to another woman.
If they are born that way, let them be!
It's the ones that flaunt it and try to shock people that get to me.
What they do in their bedroom is of no concern to me. Just keep it out
of the public domain, and that goes for heterosexuals too.
If they want to live together, who cares? They eventually will be the only ones that will marry anyway, it seems to me that very few heterosexuals are getting married. They just seem to live together these days.
Why was this subject started in the first place?
It doesn't make any difference to me who I am chatting to or getting help from, or their sexual orientation.

In regard to this gay marriage thing, the politicians are spouting inanities about the sanctity of marriage as though they haven't been divorced themselves, don't have friends or relatives who are divorced, or are unaware that half of all marriages end up in divorce. So I ask these dim-witted homophobes: if marriage is so damned sacred, why are there so many divorces? Why are so many children molested and beaten by parents, wives abused by husbands, husbands abused by wives, dogs and cats kicked around, etc. I ask you, is this the sacrosanct institution that these fools don’t want homosexuals to enjoy?
And you few, limited ones, on this site, you might ask yourself: Just what does your prejudice mean? What lack is there in your being, your education, or development as a human that floods your consciousness with fear? What causes you to pre-judge, de-value and hate what you don't understand? Is this wisdom? Is this intelligence? Is this the best of you? Is this the best in you?
