1. Why are you trying to fix it up - what had gone wrong with it?
2. No DHCP offer - I don't know, but this 'sounds like' the server isn't putting out an address.
3. PXE = Pre eXecution Environment - meaning before the (OS) boot process starts
A Google search for [ "pxe-mof" ] brings up some 9000 hits. One on the first page is this one , which could be your problem. (This is the only one I looked at; you may want to educate yourself by looking at other hits.)
4. "It was ghosted" - perhaps there is an IP address hard-set, and a duplicate of something else on the network?
All the above tied together indicates to me that the computer is not in it's (school) configured 'home' environment. You'll need to adjust the settings, both in the BIOS and perhaps in the network definitions. (I think.)
