Those weak areas are meant to be poor in reception. Or preferably, you shouldn't try to get connected in those areas.

Why shouldn't I try if there's a signal to be received in the first place?

Because your method of trying damages the look.

OH well, may as well make my first post then Razz

My computer is a beast... an AMD Sempron 2600+ clocked at 1.6Ghz! Then theres the 512MB of DDR generic RAM running at 2100 speeds, with 64MB being stolen for video (oh wow, how cool >_>) and the overfull, relatively slow 80GB IDE HDD.

Yes, it kicks ass. Err...kicked ass...about 5 years ago. Crying or Very sad

This was pretty easy to achieve:

Running the Folding @ Home SMP client, I can finish a work unit in roughly twenty hours.

I've had time to run some more tests on this CPU, and it's a total beast. It scores over 16,500 in 3DMark 06 and can finish SuperPi 1M in 13 seconds.

More new toys! Smile

After a ton of research, I found this sound card is simply one of the best on the market; both for gaming and for watching movies and DVDs and listening to music. The audio quality is simply stunning. It's literally like the difference of comparing SD video to HD video.

New gaming mouse too. Smile It's the Microsoft Habu mouse, designed by Razer. This thing is just great to use. Way, way more comfortable than the old wireless mouse I had. It goes superbly with my Razer Mantis pad.

I also got a new set of speakers, the excellent Logitech Z-2300 to replace my old Creative SBS 370 speakers that I had been using for the last four or five years.

Nice new toys.

I just a bit surprised that you did not pick up one of the Creative Sound Blaster sound cards.

Thanks! The soundwoofer on the new speakers is four times the size of the one on my old Creative speakers. Shocked The sound is just excellent with both sound card and speakers. Makes me wonder how I lasted these years with an Audigy SE and a set of $50 speakers!

The card itself is made by Auzentech, but it does use a Creative X-Fi audio processor. It supports a few features that a regular Creative boards don't support, which is an added bonus.

Cool.

Do you really need 850W power? That's a lot more than PS3!

My old 580W power supply wasn't enough for dual video cards, which is why I bought this new one. I was going to buy two video cards straight away but I forgot about the daily limit on EFTPOS on the bank card. embarrassed
