Greetings ....

Although I have McAfee VirusScan active and running on my PC, and do occasional "on-demand" scans, and although I have and use both SPY-BOT and AD-AWARE, dealing with viruses and spyware is still something I am not too well practiced in.

Here's a link to My Most Recent Virus Scan Log File .. NOTE: file is just over 120kb in size!

Please feel free to look the file over and point out anything noteworthy.

UPDATE -- Here's a 2nd scan file, 58+ kb size, using PANDA software

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7

Thanx-A-Lot and Enjoy, Frank-0-Sport

From the looks of things, you're unable to scan the encrypted Spybot quarantine files in c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery, because they aren't using NTFS's EFS functionality and use some other form (i.e. FineCrypt or a binary encrypter like yoda's Crypter). I know that the NOD32 system is able to scan for viruses in certain encrypted programs.

It had trouble deleting the toptext adware program too, by my guess because it's running or something (you should try booting into Safe Mode and running Spybot or a similar program, VirusScan will not run in Safe Mode).

Finally it looks like XP's System Restore is archiving viruses in its restore files, which it is prone to do.
