The next time I logged on, Mozilla's executable was gone. Gone.

Coincidence or not? Mad

One of my profiles was gone. And, I keep those ducks in line. There is no trace of it, and it was there last night.

Odd. I rolled it out on a pair of NT4 boxes with no issues...

Frankly, I don't know what the heck it was supposed to do. I ran it, but it didn't download more than 20K, and all of a sudden it said it was done, all went well, reboot and don't worry/be happy. I can't tell if it did anything to my machine or not.

I guess I am going to have to redo my machine, temporarily load Win98SE and run it from there to get all the files locally since you can't run custom mode on XP *grumble grumble*.

On a side note though, shouldn't this thread really have been in the Windows forum?

IE6 SP1 installed, but no lost profiles noticed. Windows XP Pro (SP1).

IE6 SP1 and WinXP Pro SP1 installed in both computers, and (all) my Netscape profiles are still there.

Well the point is that it's got to do with
a) browsers, and
b) screwing up Mozilla, a crime in my books.

I don't have the permissions, Antony. Can you move this to the Windows forum...

If you want, but this is directly related to Mozilla (and to a lesser extent. IE6), and therefore is more suited to this forum...
