Rules and Policies
The basic guidelines (or "ground rules") for discussions SillyDog701 are simple: be polite, use common sense, don't break the law and don't post any spam message. We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within those posts, but we will enforce the policies outlined both here and on the Forum. We reserve the right to remove, modify or move posts at our discretion and without explanation. We promise to bring passion to our community and to act with appreciation for our members. We will willingly listen to your suggestions and complaints, and try to incorporate your ideas in everything we do. We encourage you to keep personal information personal for your privacy and security reasons. You are welcome to list your e-mail address publically, however, if there are any SPAM e-mails resulting from your public listing, SillyDog701 should not be held responsible for that. If you want to communicate with other member in private, you are encouraged to use the private message feature. If you have any queries or comments, please contact Administrator. The following rules apply to SillyDog701 Forums: Personal attacks are not allowed. This includes harassments, flames, trolling and other forms of annoying behaviour. Any member who is intentionally rude, unpleasant or disruptive will receive one warning, and will be banned from SillyDog701 after a second offense. Posts and messages unrelated to the forum topics are not allowed. Such posts will be moved or deleted. Everyone should post messages to the relevant forum. Posts considered to be spam will be deleted and repeat abuse will get you banned. If one of your posts has been deleted or if you have been banned and you can't understand why, please contact Administrator. No unlawful or prohibited usages at all. Do not post or transmit materials in violation of another party's copyright or intellectual property rights. Cross-posting the same message on multiple forums or in one forum is not allowed. Post only once on the forum that is most related to the nature & topic of your message. If there is no such forum, contact the webmaster or any of the moderators for assitance. Your UserAgent string may be recorded and displayed along your posts. This is helpful for supports. UserAgent string will only reveal the browser you used while posting the message, it will not reveal your location nor any personal information. Excessive creation of polls, usage of emoticons, line breaks or ALL-CAPS, giant fonts with ugly colours etc. is not a good practice and is not acceptable. Such messages may be edited, locked, or even removed without warnings. Sticky topics are allowed to be posted by Administrators or Moderators. If you have a good post and believe it should be changed to Sticky status, please contact Moderators. Avatars are small images that can be included in your user profile. These images must be 80 X 80 pixels or less and be under 6 Kilobytes in size. The images should not contain annoying animations or such. Avatars cannot mimick SillyDog701 Message Centre Rank Images and/or SillyDog701 special images. Avatars fall under the same guidelines as printed text and must comply with these guidelines. Avatars must be changed immediately upon moderator request. No images are allowed in your signature. However you are allowed to link to images inside your messages. Microsoft Windows When describing a problem, be sure to give us your: Windows version (e.g. 95, 98, 98SE, Me, NT4, 2000, XP) Your processor speed in GHz or MHz The name of your processor (e.g. AMD Athlon, Pentium, Celeron) The brand of your computer (e.g. Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) and the model of your computer (e.g. Solo, X2, SmartStep, etc.). Also give us the type of computer (Desktop or Notebook) Try not to engage in any bashing of Microsoft the company or advocacy of any product be it made by Microsoft of not. If want to do this, go to the General Area forum. Feel free to ask questions about other Microsoft products that run on Windows such as Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office. Try not to engage in any bashing of Microsoft the company or advocacy of any product be it made by Microsoft of not. If want to do this, go to the General Area forum.
